GM deal with UAW brings last of Big Three into fold

Occasional Digest - a story for you

The United Auto Workers union has a tentative deal with General Motors, the last of the Big Three automakers to come to an agreement, four people familiar with the situation said Monday.

The move could be one of the last steps to fully ending the autoworkers’ strike, which has gone on for more than six weeks.

President Joe Biden, asked about the deal Monday morning, said “I think it’s great,” and gave reporters a thumbs up.
