Occasional Digest - a story for you

HALLOWEEN is a time of year when we all love to get a bit creative, whether that be spending ages intricately carving a pumpkin or battling with neighbours over whose home decorations look best.

And according to one canny cooking influencer, there’s no reason that the spooky season artiness can’t extend even to your meals.

Chloe is a food and lifestyle influencer who regularly shares everything from restaurant reviews to recipes with her 65k followers on her Instagram account @ChloeAndLeoX

In a recent clip, she showed off her simple recipe to create the air fryer “Halloween Mummy Pizzas” that her son Leo absolutely adores.

Writing in the caption, Chloe confirmed that all you need to create the scary snack is pizza dough, pizza sauce, pepperoni (quorn for veggies), cheese and some Italian herbs.

To begin, take your pizza dough and cut it into a large rectangle, before slicing the sides so they appear almost frayed.

Spread the pasta sauce across the solid middle section with a knife, before adding a sprinkle of cheese, the herbs and your pepperoni slices on top.

Then comes the fun bit: wrap the sliced dough across alternating between each side, and you should create the illusion of it being wrapped up like a mummy.

Pop each one into the air fryer for 8 to ten minutes, before sprinkling with flour or parmesan for the full mummy effect.

Chloe even went one step further to create the “perfect Halloween snack”, adding some edible bloodshot eyes she’d picked up from the cake decorating aisle.

Her video racked up a whopping 725k thousand views, with parents convinced that their little ones would be absolutely obsessed with the festive treat.

“We are obsessed!” one fan commented along with a heart-eye emoji. “These are perfect for spooky season.”

“Oh my goodness, these are fab!!” another gushed.

“So fun and easy to do,” a third agreed, adding an applause emoji.
