Ramaswamy reports uptick in small donors, $4.2 million cash on hand

Occasional Digest - a story for you

Vivek Ramaswamy kicked less of his own money into his presidential campaign last fundraising quarter, relying more on a newfound small-dollar donor base.

The wealthy biotech entrepreneur raised $2.8 million from donors giving less than $200, he reported Sunday, a larger small-dollar donor haul than Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who raised more from bigger donors.

In all, Ramaswamy pulled in about $6.4 million from donors, while giving a little more than $1 million of his own money to his campaign. That personal contribution is on top of the $15 million-plus he previously loaned his effort.
