Occasional Digest - a story for you

AS the winter months approach, there are few items quite as essential as a nice cosy coat to wrap up against the cold.

And a good one is truly worth the investment given how much wear you’ll inevitably get out of it over the Great British winter

So shoppers are delighted to have eyed a fab option in New Look that looks just like a fancy £1.5k sold by designer brand CanadaGoose.

The high street store’s Khaki Faux Fur Trim Long Hooded Parka is being sold for a very reasonable £79.99, despite looking like it could easily be ten times its price tag.

The classic style has a gorgeous hood with a chic faux fur trim, and comes in UK sizes 6-22.

Even better, if you order online you can get free home delivery or express click and collect pick up.

Impressed shoppers have been quick to point out that the sophisticated design looks incredibly similar to a parka by the swanky designer Canada Goose.

The high-end label’s Women’s Trillium Parka Heritage is a nearly indistinguishable shade of military green, and comes with a removable fur ruff that looks much like New Look’s faux one.

The real difference is the price: Canada Goose’s comes in at an eye watering £1,495.

That makes New Look’s version more than £1.4k cheaper.

Given the jacket’s just been released, there’s not yet any reviews on the quality of New Look’s parka, but given the trove of five star reviews on last season’s very similar version it seems a pretty safe bet.

“Lovely coat, fits perfect,” one wrote on the website.

“Great fit, looks good, well-made,” another agreed. “Very happy with my purchase.”

While in New Look, keep an eye out for another fab dupe currently on offer: a £20 knitted crew neck that looks just like a £349 White Company one.
