The 79-year-old and pro partner Kai Widdrington performed the Rumba to Conchita Wurst’s tune Rise Like a Phoenix.
The pair impressed the judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Anton du Beke, 57, Motsi Mabuse, 42, and Shirley Ballas, 63, with their routine.
They managed to get an impressive 31 out of 40 tonight.
However right at the end of the dance, Angela’s shoe nearly came off on the dance floor as she walked over to Tess Daly.
Kai rushed to the rescue and fixed it for her.
“I got it!,” he told them, while Tess told the audience: “Wardrobe malfunction, nothing to worry about. It’s just the shoe.”
Viewers watching at home loved Angela and Kai’s dance.
One wrote on X: “Angela Rippon is incredible.”
“Angela Ripon is going to win this,” another said.
A third chimed in: “QUEEN Angela Rippon.”
It comes after others joked that they were going to ‘call 999’ over judge Anton’s bizarre behaviour.
The dancer loved Krishnan Gugu-Murthy and pro dancer Lauren Oakley’s Pasodoble to the Red Hot Chilli Pepper’s tune By The Way.
He was a huge fan and copied all the moves that he did at the start of the performance.
Meanwhile Ellie Leach got emotional after the judges ‘harsh’ criticism.
The Corrie star and Vito Coppola danced the Samba to Barry Manilow’s tune Copacabana.
Despite a great performance, she only got 28 points, and told her partner she felt like she’d let him down.
