Travelling to Neon is something players would do early into Starfield’s main story, but if you’re struggling to find it or don’t remember where it was, we are here to help.

Here’s everything you need to know about Neon’s location in Starfield and some tips on what you can find and do there.

Where is Neon in Starfield?

Neon is located in the Volii system. To travel to Neon, you need to open the Starmap from the menu.

Volii is not far from Alpha Centauri, which is your home base for most of Starfield’s main story and where the Lodge is.

So, in the Starmap menu, move the cursor to the right of Alpha Centauri and pass by the Olympus system – Volii is the next star further to the right.

Hover over Volii and then press the A button to open the system’s map, where you pick a planet to land on.

Neon City is on Volii Alpha, which is the second planet from the Volii star, so select that planet with the A button.

On the planet map, select Neon Core with A and press and hold X to land; after a short loading screen, you’ll be just outside Neon City.

Neon City Guide – Starfield

Neon City offers plenty of things to do apart from the main story quests that will lead you here.

The city has four main areas – the first is Neon Core, the city’s main street, where most shops are.

Then you have Ebbside, the city’s backstreets, which can be accessed at several points from the Core.

The Underbelly is where you’ll find a restricted area where Xenofresh Fisheries employees work.

Lastly, the Spaceport is where you usually land if you haven’t explored other points to which you can fast travel later or if you require ship services.

The Neon Core’s main points of interest are its numerous shops, flanked by the Ryujin Tower and the Astral Lounge in the Trade Tower.

The Astral Lounge is the only place that legally sells the Aurora drug on Neon, which lets you slow time for 10 seconds, like in a Matrix movie.

Ryujin Tower is where you can start the Ryujin Industries questline, but you must first apply for a job at the megacorporation through a Ryujin kiosk.

Neon Core shops include an Enhance clinic, where you can change your appearance, and a Trade Authority shop, which would buy your stolen goods and contraband.

Most shops will have at least one side quest given to you by the vendor, so make sure you talk to everyone.

The main point of interest at the Ebbside is Madame Sauvage’s Place, where you can join the Ebbside Strikers faction and do their questline.

These are all the basic things you need to know about Neon City in Starfield; exploring it at your own pace and talking to its inhabitants is the best way to discover more.
