Former Chelsea and Everton manager Frank Lampard is not in the running for the vacant Rangers managerial position.
But Lampard will not be part of the club’s final-stage interview process, which will start next week.
Beale left Rangers last Sunday following a home defeat to Aberdeen.
It was a third Scottish Premiership loss in seven games for the former Queens Park Rangers manager, whose tenure was brought to an end less than a year after his appointment.
