She explained: “There are so many different avenues to explore Moordale more.
“I’ve really loved some of the new characters that have come into series four.
“I think it would be really cool to maybe see some more of them.”

A prominent season four storyline was whether Otis and Maeve ended up together, but they eventually decided against it.
Laurie has now revealed that she always had a gut feeling that the two wouldn’t ever be an item come the final season.
She said: “They’re 17, and I think it’s really hard if you meet your soulmate when you’re 17.
“And I’ve always sort of imagined that they might get together 10 years down the path when they’ve matured and grown up a little bit.”
Laurie then joked: “That’s the spin-off. They’re just married and boring.”
After 4 seasons of fun, laughter, chaos, craziness and pure entertainment, she ended the show and confirmed that season 5 would not progress.
Laurie explained why she ended the show as she did: “This was not an easy decision to make.
“But as the themes and stories of the new season crystallised, it became clear that this was the right time to graduate.”
The season 4 finale ended with a bang that had dire consequences for the characters involved but possibly made it up to viewers for the lack of a new season.
Season’s 1-4 of Sex Education are available to stream on Netflix.
