Emily decided to test hot chocolates from Starbucks, Costa, McDonald’s, Greggs, Caffe Nero and Pret A Manger – as they are the most popular on the high street.

She kicked off her TikTok taste test with a hot chocolate from Costa, as she said: “You guys know how much I love Costa!

“This is such a good hot chocolate.”

“It would be amazing with marshmallows as well,” she added, before giving it a “solid 9 out of 10”.

Next up was McDonald’s.

“Sometimes McDonald’s hot chocolates can be really good and other times they can be so watery,” Emily said.

“This is a good hot chocolate – I’m actually so impressed.

“Sometimes when I get it for breakfast it’s so watery.

“I’d give this particular one eight out of 10, I’d usually give it a seven out of 10.”

Starbucks was third in the taste test, as Emily added: “I usually love Starbucks the most”.

“You get 9 out of 10 as well. I literally love Starbucks hot chocolate so much!”

Emily had never tried a hot chocolate from Greggs before, but that was up next.

“Greggs I’m not sure about this!” she said.

“This is so watery. I’m going to have to give you a 6/10.

“I usually love all of your food but the hot chocolate is not for me.”

Emily struggled with the lid on her Caffe Nero drink, as there was no hole in the lid to drink from.

But once she took the lid off, she exclaimed: “Are you seeing this hot chocolate? It’s so dark.

“This looks like a really good hot chocolate.”

Taking a sip, she added: “That is like a rich, dark chocolate hot chocolate.

“That is incredible. This is a proper hot chocolate. You get a 9.5 out of 10 for this!”

Emily concluded her experiment with a hot chocolate from Pret.

“Oooh this is good,” she began, before adding, “This is a very milky hot chocolate.

“There’s not enough chocolate for me.

“I’m going to give this a 7.5 out of 10.

“It’s good but it needs to be a bit more chocolatey!”

So, the winner of Emily’s taste test was actually Caffe Nero, while Greggs came last.
