The pair were discussing Cain and Caleb’s return after their mystery road trip, and ordered two pints at the bar.

Gail then informed him that he owed £15.20, prompting Moira to turn her nose up at the price.

She wasn’t alone, as Emmerdale viewers were also shocked and took to social media to comment.

One wrote: “You wouldn’t even pay £7.60 per Pint in London!! Lol # Emmerdale.”

Another added: “£15.20 for 2 drinks? London prices have reached #Emmerdale.”

A third tweeted: “I though my local was expensive but I’d pour it back in barrel if they said £15.20. It’s not that London.”

They weren’t alone in their outrage, as another commented: “£15.20 for 2 pints in emmerdale! I hate paying more than £3.50 for a pint!”

A fellow viewer raged: “You kidding? £15.20 for 2 PINTS?!! #TheWoolpack is a Rip Off!”

Meanwhile at the Hop, Chas found herself having a drink with a man who introduced himself as Simon.

However, viewers know he is really called Harry, the new soap villain who recently had her brother Caleb beat up.

He offered to buy her a drink, and her glass of wine and his scotch came to £13.50.

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
