Arsenal are in the same boat, with Bukayo Saka also racing to be fit.

But he sat out Brentford and looks likely to make a stunning return to the side.

What have the managers said?

Andoni Iraola: “[Solanke impact] I think it happened pretty similar against Swansea.

“He came in, he didn’t score, but he was there in the goals and he gave us also different energy against Swansea.

“I think he’s played well. Overall, the team has been much better in second half.

“Unfortunately he couldn’t finish the game. Probably the worst part of the evening.

“We’ll see how he presents, if the ankle is swollen or not.

“But we have a very tight schedule, not even three days. It’s going to be tough.”

Mikel Arteta: “Saka was limping quite badly after the match.

“We had to get him off the field which is never a good sign.

“He hasn’t been able to participate in the session. [Bournemouth?] It’s a possibility.

“[Partey is] still not available. It’s a long list! Still not. The same with Jurrien [Timber].

“It’s the situation that we have at moment that we have to adapt.

“The squad we have at the moment is really short and we need players back, that’s for sure.”

SunSport prediction

Arsenal have made a strong start to the season.

While Bournemouth are struggling to impress under their new boss.

We predict a straightforward win for the visitors, who have too much firepower to not score.

  • Welcome to Bournemouth vs Arsenal

Bournemouth welcome Arsenal to the Vitality Stadium this afternoon with The Cherries still looking for their first win of the season.

Arsenal have some injury concerns at the moment and Mikel Arteta is having to shuffle the pack for the trip to the south coast.

For Bournemouth, they have concerns over the fitness of striker Dominic Solanke who was joined in the treatment room by Emiliano Marcondes, Alex Scott, Ryan Fredericks, Lloyd Kelly and Chris Mepham.

One piece of good news was that Tyler Adams came off the bench having recovered from a hamstring injury and they will be hoping he can finally make his Bournemouth debut.

If Solanke is not fit for this one, Kieffer Moore and Antoine Semenyo will be looking to battle for his spot in leading the attack.

Neto, Max Aarons, Philip Billing and Marcus Tavernier are in line for a return to the starting XI.

For Arsenal, Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka are the big concerns coming into this game after the pair picked up injuries in the North London derby.

Neither player has trained this week and they are joined by Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba and Fabio Viera who are all doubts for this weekend.

Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey are long-term absentees and will remain out of contention for the foreseeable future.

David Raya, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard are all expected to return to the starting XI having sat out the midweek Carabao Cup win at Brentford.
