The Dutch manager delivered an icy response following Tuesday’s 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Crystal Palace when questioned on whether the saga over outcast Sancho was nearer a solution.
The Red Devils‘ winger is banned from all the club’s first-team facilities following his brutal exchange of words with Ten Hag.
And the Dutchman told Sky Sports: “I don’t talk about players who are out of favour.”
Pushed further on whether Sancho has an Old Trafford future, Ten Hag added tersely: “I don’t know. It’s up to him.”
He then declined to comment when asked if Sancho deleting his Instagram account had been a helpful step forward.
Instead the ex-Ajax chief bigged up youngsters like Facundo Pellestri and Alejandro Garnacho for “deserving” their chance in the third-round win.
But even those words could be taken as a dig at Sancho.
Ten Hag said: “We had many young players on the pitch and you see they are progressing.
“With me you don’t get the opportunity, you have to deserve it!”

Sancho has been in trouble ever since hitting back after Ten Hag claimed he was omitted from the squad at Arsenal on September 3 due to his poor training.
The Englishman responded with a now-deleted post that contradicted his manager’s verdict.
The 23-cap star wrote: “I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!”
It’s understood United officials met soon after to discuss Sancho’s future and how to resolve the situation.
And it’s believed the only way the problem could be soothed, at least in the short term, is Sancho apologising to the Dutchman.
