For the first time in more than two decades, NSYNC came together during this week’s MTV Video Music Awards to tease a new project.
Today, they released a new video on X, formerly known as Twitter, to announce a new song called Better Place.
The band announced that the new song will be released on September 29.
The video shows all five band members in the studio working on their new music.
Justin Timberlake starts the video by talking to the rest of the group: “So many stars aligned that’s why I hit you up like, ‘Hey, something came up.'”
The camera then flashes between footage of the other members of the group – Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Joey Fatone.
Justin continued to say: “If we do this song, it’s a love letter to our fans.
“I would be honored to have the group on this song.”
BACK TOGETHER
The video then shows all of the men in the studio singing to their upcoming bop.
Justin seemed to be taking on a big role as a producer in the video as he sat behind the soundboard and was shown conducting the music.
Everyone in the group seemed thrilled to be back together again.
JC was shown dancing behind the microphone, all of the guys were smiling from ear to ear, and Justin could be heard yelling: “Yes!”
Toward the end of the video, all of the group members were shown nodding their heads to the music, some with their eyes closed, as they listened to the track.
Justin finished the video by saying: “I love you guys. That’s just – that s**t is epic man.”
FANS GONE WILD
NSYNC fans on X went crazy in the reply section of the video, and some are hoping for a boy band reunion tour.
One said: “My little teenage heart can’t take it. Thank you. Now when’s the tour?”
Another said: “Wasn’t on my 2023 bingo card but SO EXCITED!!!!”
A third said: “Waited my whole adult life for this. We’re ready!!”
Someone else said: “I hope this isn’t the last of all 5 of y’all recording songs together…”
A fifth said: “It’s about time! We’ve been waiting for the end of that hiatus for 20 years!”
