He claimed his Twix bar recipe is not only filling, but also helpful for weight loss.
Father-of-four Phil Mackenzie (@leansquad1) filmed himself whipping up the dessert in a video on TikTok.
“f you’re trying to lose weight but constantly craving sweet snacks then you have to try my sugar-free Twix bars, they are the best thing going right now.
“First you wanna get some almond flour, this keeps our crunchy Twix base, low in carbs and high in nutrients.
“Then you’re going to add in some melted coconut oil and mix in our secret lean ingredient, some zero-calorie sugar free maple syrup.
“Literally has zero calories and all the sweetness of regular maple syrup.
“Add in a dash of vanilla and some salt mix that up until it’s a little clumpy.
“Add our crunchy Twix base into a baking tray flatten until it’s nice and compact and place in the oven,” he said.
He also added instructions on how to make a lower calorie version of the caramel center of a Twix bar.
“More zero caramel maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla, salt, and creamy peanut butter.
“Heat that up, add our caramel layer on top, and then we’re gonna place in the fridge for 30 to 60 minutes,” he said.
The father also shared how to make the chocolate coating for the faux Twix.
“We’re going to start making our chocolate layer with sugar-free chocolate chips.
“These are so good. We’ll melt that up, add on top again, put in the fridge until that hardens, and then you are laughing.
“You’ll have a super sweet and tasty sugar-free snack that keeps you fuller for longer,” he said.
