“Today I had an incident with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol,” the country singer wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Emotions got the best of me and I was out of line in the things I said.

“I support law enforcement as much as anyone can, I was just frustrated in the moment, it was unlike me and I apologize.

“They brought me to jail, and there is a mug shot of me floating around.

“Prayers we can all move on from this and prayers people know I’m just trying the best I can, I love you guys and I am truly sorry to the officers.”

Bryan has already posted bond and is out of jail.

Further details of what led to the obstruction charge have not yet been released.

Hours before his arrest, the singer posted a photo to his Instagram Story.

“On the road again,” the post read. “Gonna go see the birds win.”

Bryan is a known Philadelphia Eagles fan and it is thought that he may have been driving to the team’s season opener against the New England Patriots that’s slated to take place this weekend.

The country singer announced a 2024 tour earlier this year and presale tickets became available on Wednesday.

His arrest comes just days after his self-titled album hit number one on the Billboard 200 chart.

On top of that, Bryan’s duet with Kacey Musgraves, I Remember Everything, topped Billboard’s all-genre Hot 100 chart.

FANS REACT

Following Bryan’s statement on X and Instagram, fans have shared their reactions on social media.

Many complimented the mugshot and offered words of encouragement to Bryan.

Others weren’t as kind and hurled insults, and some were even sarcastic in their comments.

“I mean you look good in the mugshot at least. We still love you and your music… you’re only human,” someone said.

“Mugshot needs to be your next album cover. Truly,” another said.

“You can pay us back by dropping another album tomorrow,” one fan wrote.

“We live. We learn. We move on,” another said.

“You’re young. Just make sure to right your wrongs. Then, keep the wheels on the track,” someone else chimed in.

The U.S. Sun has contacted Bryan’s reps, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the Craig County Sheriff’s Office for more information about his arrest.
