Posting on social media, hairstylist and influencer Matt Newman, who is from the US, shared his quick and easy trick, to transform your hair from flat to fabulous.
And don’t worry, you don’t need to be a hair whizz for this to work – as it’s super foolproof.
Using a claw clip, he pinned back the front pieces of his brunette hair, as he explained: “Flat hair at your roots – grab a claw clip, use the teeth to grab your front pieces from the forehead and from the crown and squeeze it all the way up.”
He then applied dry shampoo and blow dried the area, as he added: “Dry shampoo just above the scalp.
“Cold air from the blow dryer.”
After just a few seconds, he removed the clip and ran his fingers through his now volumised locks.
The hair whizz noted: “Unclip and zhuzh [ruffle] it out.”
Impressed with his hack and now stunning hairstyle, he laughed and beamed: “That is tall.”
Matt later added: “Dry shampoo is soooo good for bringing hair volume back to a blowdry that’s gotten flat at the roots.
“The claw clip helps target the product to the specific part of our strands that we want lifted.”
Matt’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @mattloveshair, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 248,000 views in just two days.
Social media users were left stunned at the hack and were eager to share this in the comments.
Many were thankful for the hair tutorial and were desperate to give it a try themselves.

Whilst someone else shared: “Can’t wait to try this!!!”
