As every airline having different carry-on allowances, it’s easy to buy a bag that’s slightly too big.

And with financial penalties awaiting any passengers that exceed the limits, some go to extreme lengths to make sure their cases will fit.

While some frustrated passengers have been filmed snapping off their suitcase wheels, one woman purchased a suitcase with detachable wheels.

Tia is seen in a video showing how easy the bag’s wheels can be removed.

She captioned the clip: “Them: ‘You can’t turn a personal carry-on into a personal item.’”

She added: “People commented ‘Budget airlines will never let that bag fly as a personal bag.’

“Someone said: ‘That bag is too big to be a carry-on.’

“A few people even questioned if the bag would fit in the personal items box that many budget airlines use. Well here’s your answer.

“The detachable wheels are a game changer for my travel lovers who like to get that low fare flight and keep their money in their pockets instead of paying for bags.”

Last year, one man was filmed snapping the wheels off his suitcases to avoid having to pay extra luggage costs.

Footage of the frustrated passengers was shared on Tiktok by user Anna (@annapalumbo91).

In the video, the travellers are seen stamping and pulling the wheels to remove them from their cases.

Meanwhile, this passenger went viral for taking drastic action to make sure he didn’t have to pay extra for his hand luggage.

More airlines are cracking down on hand luggage as fuming passengers are forced to pay extra.
