According to Android Authority, Sony’s Game Boost feature remastered some PS4 games.

The games in question need to be backward compatible.

You may have been using the feature without realizing it.

Game Boost should automatically be turned on.

It helps your old games look new by increasing the quality of the visuals.

Android Authority notes that your PS5 and the game need to have the latest updates installed.

If the feature isn’t working for you, that could be why.

The experts write: “You will need to ensure your console and the game you’re playing have the latest updates installed for this to work.”

A similar feature is available for Xbox users.

Thanks to backward compatibility, users of new Xbox consoles can play much older games.

Gamers can make the most of a setting called Auto HDR.

It enhances games to make them look more modern.

You’ll need a TV that supports HDR10 for the feature to work.

Xbox Series X users can also rely on a setting called FPS boost.

That makes old games appear as if they’re running faster.
