Jackie Caul, 75, landed the “life-changing” People’s Postcode Lottery win on Saturday after her postcode scooped £120,000 – with the ex-dinner lady taking the majority windfall.
The grandmother of nine from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, said the win will “change her life”, but vowed it won’t change her.
On how she’ll splash the cash, Jackie said: “I’ll give my family a treat, they’ve been good to us. I’ve four daughters and nine grandkids from 13 to two, so they’ll get a bit.
“Hopefully a lovely holiday too. I was thinking Spain but with the amount I’ve just received it might be a cruise.”
Her husband David, 82 – a retired Asda trolley man – added: “I’ve never had something like that in my hands before.
“It means a hell of a lot. I don’t think we’ll know what it means until we get back in the house and sit down and it all starts to sink in.”
People’s Postcode Lottery costs £10 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day.
Punters play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws.
Participants can play in daily, biweekly, and monthly draws, with jackpots of £1,000, £30,000, and £7.9 million.
The daily draw awards the money to one winner in a whopping 20 postcodes.
While the Saturday and Sunday draws provide the award to a player in one postcode.
It comes after an expert revealed the scratchcard which gives you the best chance of winning – but there’s a catch.
Meanwhile, a couple who won £200k on the People’s Postcode Lottery have said they are going to spend it on Prime drinks for their daughter.
And a EuroMillions lottery winner who scooped a whopping £108million jackpot has revealed the first things he bought.
