The Soudal-QuickStep rider had his celebrations cut short when he collided with a woman following the race.
Evenepoel had an impressive day in the mountains after sprinting away from the group to secure a win in the Vuelta’s third stage.
But it was just moments after crossing the finish line that he headed into a crowd of people and collided with a woman.
Travelling at a significant speed, the 23-year-old hit the floor pretty hard as well as knocking the lady over too.
Evenepoel looked worse for wear after the incident and could be seen with blood pouring down the side of his face.
But nothing was going to ruin his mood after a successful stage win and he seemed in good spirits despite the crash.
The Belgian could be seen hugging team members with a smile on his face only a few moments after the collision.
Although he did show his frustration with the matter when speaking to the media after the race.
He said: “It’s nice [to win] but again [there’s] something [wrong] with the safety only 50 metres after the finish line. It’s already the third in a row and it’s breaking my balls now.”

He went on to praise his team’s approach during the 159.5km stage.
“I think it’s perfect tactics from us. To just be patient and wait.” He explained.
“And then I felt super good on the final climb with a long but very strong sprint. So I’m super happy with this victory.”
