Brighton reach deal for Caicedo replacement
Brighton have agreed a £23million deal with Lille to sign midfielder Carlos Baleba as the Seagulls look to replace Moises Caicedo.
Roberto De Zerbi has been pushing for new faces following the £115m sale of Caicedo to Chelsea and now looks to be getting his man.
Talks have progressed over recent days and agreeing personal terms with the 19-year-old is not thought to be an issue.
Asked about any new additions following Brighton’s 3-1 defeat to West Ham, De Zerbi said: “It’s not my business, I want to think only of my job.
“My job is to be a coach, give organisation and ideas.
“We have to understand that we have the target, fix the target and then we can speak about everything.”
