Sky TV customers warned of important Disney+ change – your subscription could be cancelled if you fail to act

SKY has announced changes to the way it deals with Disney+ subscriptions on TV boxes.

And if affected customers fail to act, their subscription to the streaming service could be cut off.

Sky TV customers will now have to sign up to Disney+ via Sky Marketplace

As of August 23, Sky Q owners must sign up to Disney+ via Sky Marketplace.

The move is designed to make it easier for people to manage all their app subscriptions in one place.

Sky Marketplace requires an active debit or credit card.

Payment for each app happens each month on the first day you subscribed to it.

So from now on, you won’t be able to add Disney+ to your online account as was done before.

The new process mirrors what Sky Glass and Sky Stream users have to do.

However, Sky says it will be getting in touch with any customers who have signed up to Disney+ before the switch but haven’t activated their account.

And if you don’t do it in time, your subscription will be closed down.

“They’ll be given a window to do that – if they don’t, we’ll cancel their Disney+ subscription,” Sky warned.

“We can’t offer any refunds to customers who signed up for Disney+ but didn’t activate their account.”

Customers who added Disney+ to their Sky TV account before 23 August will continue to see their subscription show on their Sky bill.

But those who sign up to it on Sky Marketplace will be billed separately.
