We love a new Glossier launch and their latest is no exception.

Glossier has launched its new Glossier Stretch Fluid Foundation, and it’s available to buy in-store and online at Glossier.com from August 22nd.

Plus, it’s good news for fans of their existing complexion range, as the brand’s well-loved Stretch Balm Concealer will have its shade range extended from 12 to 32 shades.

We were able to get our hands on the new foundation before anyone else, so if you’re thinking of snapping it up, here’s everything you need to know.

The Stretch Fluid Foundation marks Glossier’s entry into foundation products.

While the brand offers the Perfecting Skin Tint; a lightweight enhancer, and the Stretch Concealer, this is their first formal foundation.

The new foundation boasts a unique gel-cream formula, it’s comprised of an 89% skincare base, which includes plant-derived squalane and glycerin that nourish the skin’s moisture barrier.

Additionally, ingredients like wild rose berries and plankton stabilise excess shine and ensure hydration, making this foundation suitable for all skin types.

Glossier also unveiled its new stretch face brush alongside the launch of the new foundation.

Designed with a curve and a targeted tip, this brush aims to address those typically hard-to-blend areas during foundation application.

With all of that in mind, here’s how we rate Glossier’s new Stretch Fluid Foundation.

What we thought of Glossier’s Stretch Fluid Foundation?

I’ve been a Glossier girl for years now with fond memories of purchasing my first Boy Brow online and trying to savour every last drop since then (knowing full well I needed to repurchase it).

There really isn’t a Glossier launch that I haven’t loved, as along with Boy Brow my favourite products from the brand on repeat purchase have to be Cloud Paint, No. 1 Pencil, G Suit Lipsticks, Futuredew and the holy-grail, Glossier You Fragrance.

So I had high hopes for the new foundation.

Advertised as having light to medium coverage with a natural finish, I knew this launch would be right up my street.

I have a normal-to-dry skin type but tend to stay away from matte foundations as I find that they can be quite drying on my skin.

Having tested this foundation several times, I can confidently say it suits my skin type well.

For comparison, the formula is thicker than the brand’s skin tint (not runny) but remains just as lightweight.

I’ve found that even when the formula has been on my skin for a few minutes, it’s still easy to blend out further and move around without disturbing the rest of my makeup.

I’ve personally found that the foundation looks its best on my skin when applied shortly after my skincare routine, which usually consists of a hydrating cleanser, eye cream, and a moisturising SPF (when applying later in the day, a hydrating primer also does the trick).

Glossier recommend applying the foundation with your fingertips or going in with the new Stretch Face Brush. I prefer using my fingertips when at home, but I’d reach for the brush while on the go.

Overall, I’m super impressed with the Stretch Fluid Foundation and I just can’t seem to put it down.

The foundation comes in 32 flexible shades across 7 shade categories and 5 undertone groups (for reference, I wear the shade Medium Deep 4), so you can be sure to find the right shade for you.

If you’re near a Glossier store, I’d recommend visiting and trying out different shades in person.

Stretch Balm Concealer

Glossier is expanding its range of Stretch Balm Concealer range from 12 to 32 shades, making it even more inclusive.

If you haven’t tried the famous stretch concealer, it’s a total must-have.

It’s light on the skin (trust me, it’s so weightless) and leaves a buttery glow on the skin, which is why so many people recommend using it all over the face and not just to conceal.

Thankfully, Glossier isn’t changing the formula that we all know and love.

It’s truly Glossier’s world and we’re just living in it!
