The TalkTV presenter has begun to play the field again, on the E4 show, following her split from cheating fiancé Ben Ofoedu earlier this year.
Vanessa, 61, looked glamorous in a black and silver shift dress as she attended the singles event.
But things soon take a very awkward turn when the popular TV star struggles to approach the eligible bachelors.
Leaning on dating expert Paul C Brunson for help, Vanessa tells him: “I know you said I should approach as many men as possible, that is what you said.”
Paul asks: “How many have you approached?”
Vanessa replies: “I’ve approached zero.”
She adds: “I’m just not used to walking up to a man I don’t know and introducing myself in that kind of way.”
Paul responds: “You know what…I’ve got you….”
He then attempts to introduce Vanessa to the single men, leaving her gasping: “No.”
TV favourite Vanessa previously told The Sun that she is not sure she can face watching her efforts as CGD.
She said of filming the reality show: “I have liked dipping my toe in the dating pool again, having not done it for 17 years.
“I have built up more courage with each date.
“But I have never watched back a date or seen any footage.
“I will be on holiday, I hope, when it airs, and I will be quite pleased to be out of the country.”
Devastated Vanessa announced her split from singer Ben in January after discovering he had cheated when her daughter received a message from his mistress.
The pair had been engaged since 2006.
It means that Vanessa has joined the E4 dating show at her most raw, as she strikes out alone at the age of 61.
She said: “After all these years of reality TV, you’d think I would manage some kind of facade by now.
“When something is happening to me on TV, you can see what my real emotions are.
“Even if I am assuming I have hidden it, I haven’t, so it has been an emotional journey.”
This year’s batch of singletons includes Kate Moss’ half -sister Lottie and Love Islanders Adam Collard and Chloe Burrows.
They are in good company as they will also be joined by comedian Spuddz and Made In Chelsea’s Mark-Francis Vandelli.
