Jonathan Soriano, who played for the Saudi club in 2019, rues the striker swapping PSG for a huge pay-day.
Soriano believes the Brazil striker, 31, should have stayed in Europe to rival Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland for top status in the Champions League.
In contrast, the ex-Barca hero is joining Al-Hillal on up to £314million over two years – around SIX TIMES his PSG wages.Former Spain under-21 star
Soriano told DAZN: “Neymar has enough quality to lead a team looking to win the Champions League.
“I believe that he has thrown in the towel.
“There is no Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, so he could have led world football along with Mbappe and Haaland.
“Instead, he has decided to earn more money.”
Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona were linked with 124-cap legend Neymar before he opted to board the mega-money train to the Saudi Pro League.
He won the Champions League once and two LaLiga titles with Barca before five Ligue 1 crowns with PSG.
