Kristie (@astylechild) shared the video with over 30,000 TikTok followers.

“If you get blisters a lot or when you do, they totally ruin your life, let me give you a pro tip,” she said.

She explained that her best tip for prevention was to tape your feet when you’re wearing new shoes for the first time.

“This tape is the best,” she said about the NexCare Waterproof tape.

“Make sure you round the corners like a bandaid to keep it from peeling at the edges,” she said.

For pre-existing blisters, the ballerina recommended Spenco’s hydrogel squares, $33.

“You cut it to size and you place it on your blister after cleaning it and I would cover it with the tape,” she said.

“Honestly, this will save your life.”

People took to the comments to share their thoughts on her tip.

“Another tip I got from a ballroom dancer, rub Vaseline where strappy heels rub on you to prevent blisters,” said one commenter.

“Oh the many things we learned from dancing I didn’t realize it’s not a common thing to tape your feet with new shoes,” said another.

“Haha right?! Gotta share the knowledge,” Kristie replied.
