Cleaning whizz Brandon Pleshek revealed that loads of people completely miss the sides of their oven when they’re giving it a deep clean.
All the grease, grime and dirt can build up and you’ll have a pretty nasty job on your hands.
He explained on Instagram: “Over time, the sides of our ovens can accumulate grease and grime buildup.
“Not only can this attract dirt and become grimy, but it can also cause stinky odours.”
So, how to you get rid of that greasy mess? An old card will do the trick.
You need something sturdy to scrape the layers of grime off, so an old gift card or membership card is just the ticket.
Brandon recommended spraying the area with a “heavy duty degreaser” before going in with the plastic card to scrape it away.
“Depending on how dirty they are you don’t always have to do the scraping,” the cleaning whizz said.
But if yours has a lot of buildup the trick will definitely speed to whole process up.
After scraping what you can off, scrub the area with a brush and soap before drying it all off.
Other cleaning fans loved the trick and agreed they always forget to clean the sides of their oven.
