Gino D’Acampo is also set to return as host of the rebooted game show, having taken over from Vernon Kay.

Applications have opened for the new series, with filming set to take place in September and October.

It comes as the current series recently came to an end.

Family Fortunes pits two families against each other as they answer survey questions.

The show originally ran from 1980 until 2002, with Les Dennis being at the helm during its most successful years.

ITV execs revived the format in 2006 with a celebrity edition with Vernon Kay on hosting duties.

That was shelved in 2015 before the channel gave it another chance in 2021 by bringing back the civilian run.

It’s good news for chef Gino, 47, who has recently had a turbulent few months.

The household name recently had his own ITV dating series axed by bosses after two pilot episodes aired.

He was also forced to shut down his restaurant chain after building up debt of over £5 million.
