Towie’s Amber Turner is one of the famous faces taking part in the show’s fifth series and we’re told she was filmed on FaceTime to her now ex-boyfriend Dan Edgar while shooting the show.

A TV insider told The Sun: “They feel like it makes the show look really dated if they keep the scenes in, and it just looks too obvious that the series was filmed a long time ago.

“It’s been a headache for the editors as the series was all finished, so it was frustrating to have to go back and cut the conversation but that’s one of the risks of filming a show so far ahead of it airing.”

The Sun has contacted a rep for Channel 4.

We previously told how Amber had caused show bosses a headache with her “diva behaviour”.

Before the cast had even been put through their paces by new chief instructor Rudy Reyes, Amber made a bit of a name for herself.

A source told us: “Amber was by far the biggest diva in the cast during the shoot in Vietnam.

“Even before filming started, she was causing dramas for the crew.

“She decided she didn’t like the hotel room she had been given and demanded that she get moved to another room higher up in the building so she has a better view.

“She was also quite aloof and didn’t socialise with the rest of the cast much before they began shooting.

“Everyone else was hanging out but she wasn’t that chatty and just seemed a bit stand-offish.

“The cast were surprised as everybody else was really down to earth and didn’t come with any airs and graces.”
