Two people have been taken to hospital after a bus crashed into two houses on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula.

A Country Fire Authority spokesperson said the CFA responded to the incident at Safety Beach on Wednesday at about 11am.

The spokesperson said they understood a bus and truck collided, leading to the bus running off the road and hitting two properties.

They said there were 20 people on the bus, two in the truck, and no occupants inside the house.

Ambulance Victoria said two people were transferred to Frankston Hospital, but did not provide details on their conditions.
