Occasional Digest - a story for you

Kesha has vowed to “always fight for equality” in a heartfelt Pride Month message sent to fans on social media.

“HAPPY MFKN PRIDE BABES!!” she wrote on 15 June.

“I will always fight for equality. We fight, we do not give up, we celebrate ourselves, we vote, we take the high road, we hold hope and we stand in love.”

The ‘Fine Line’ singer shared the message ahead of her performance at ‘Cant Cancel Pride’, a benefit concert held to support LGBTQ+ organisations that rely on Pride Month.

This year’s show featured performances from Big Freedia, Adam Lambert, Ciara and Brandi Carlile, among others.

Kesha performed ‘Only Love Can Save Us Now’ for the crowd, the third single from her new album ‘Gag Order’.

The track is an exhilarating experience from start to finish and shows that Kesha has never lost her ability to make industrial strength bops on the level of OG fan favourites such as ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ and ‘We R Who We R’.

The ‘Gag Order’ artwork shows Kesha with a plastic bag over her head as if she is being choked.

Fans believe the record is somewhat inspired by her ongoing legal battle with controversial music producer Dr. Luke, who Kesha has accused of physical, sexual and emotional abuse – something he has denied.
