The Solomon Islands are a nation of hundreds of islands that are located in the South Pacific. It’s home to approximately 686,000+ people and is home to numerous World War II sites. One of its largest islands is Guadalcanal. 

The province of Temotu is the easternmost province of these islands. It was formerly known as Santa Cruze Islands Province, and it covers an area of 895 square kilometers. It’s also home to approximately 21,362 people. In 1984, this area received provincial status.
