That’s as Beijing pledges to create a better business environment for foreign companies.
A statement from China’s foreign ministry said Mr Gang told Mr Musk that the country will unswervingly promote a high-level opening up and strive to create a better international business environment.
The statement also said that Tesla opposes “decoupling” and is willing to expand its business in China.
The meeting comes amid tensions between the US and China over technology.
