Jennie Wooldridge posted a snap off her trolley pilled high with bargain buys from The Company Shop, which is the UK’s leading redistributor of surplus food and household products.
It enables the biggest retailers and manufacturers to unlock value from surplus stock, which may have otherwise gone to waste.
Alongside the image, she penned: “Company shop yesterday!”
Jennie then went onto share the contents of her shopping list and the price she paid for it, which include: Clover 1kg pack £1, chicken drumsticks £1.12, chicken thighs £2.42, the skip pods £2.50 and apples 2 packs for £1.50.”
The savvy mum continues: “I have 4 children because anyone say why so much
“Just for the people asking.
“There are many of them up and down the country.
“You do have to be a member and meet criteria.
“The shop is for surplus stock that won’t be sold in the actual supermarket that it’s labelled to be sold at so Aldi, Tesco etc.”

The post has since racked up a staggering 1,200 likes and almost 1k comments from social media users, with many super impressed by the bargains on offer.
“Great information, thank you for sharing,” praised one.
A second enthused: “Good for you – it’s great when you get a bargain!”
A third penned: “Thanks this is really helpful.”
Meanwhile, a fourth added: “Kind of you to share Jennie.”
Another noted: “I do pretty much most of my shopping there now, I’ve saved so much money since shopping there!”
And a further commented: “That’s awesome!”
Elsewhere, others were quick to jump to Jennie defence and argued that no one has any right to question the quantity of items in her trolley.
“No one would ask anyone in a supermarket queue ‘why did you buy so much? Did you leave any for anyone else?’ So why would anyone ask the same on a FB post?” asked one.
Another wrote: “No ones business – you’re allowed 6 of everything at company shop. You don’t need to justify yourself. Enjoy the savings your entitled to!”
