RuPaul has given a rare glimpse into his luxurious Beverly Hills mansion, complete with a striking orange kitchen and 26 disco balls suspended from the ceiling.

In an interview with Architectural Digest, the ‘Drag Race’ host gave a tour of the gorgeous home he shares with husband Georges LeBar.

Among its epic features are an at-home production office, a bar, a pool and a glamorous dining room.

There is even a “disco room” for “cocktails and dancing”, which has portraits of icons that “inspire” people to dance, as well as 26 disco balls hung from the ceiling.

Orange, RuPaul’s favourite colour, is featured prominently throughout the mansion, as well as black, white and an array of wild patterns that match his extravagant personality.

The home, built in 1980, was remodelled by interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard to fit RuPaul’s iconic aesthetic.

“This is the house of Ru, a mansion of style designed as the centre stage for the world’s most famous and celebrated drag queen. It’s the ultimate runway for the supermodel of the world,” Bullard told Architectural Digest. “I could not imagine a more appropriate place for the universe’s drag mother to hold court.”

The walk-in closet is one of the home’s most luxurious rooms and is the result of two bedrooms being combined.

“It’s very emotional for me to be in here,” RuPaul said. “Because I remember, ‘Oh, I remember I wore that on the episode where…’ or ‘Oh, right, I bought that at this little boutique in France.’”

His racks of clothing are organised by colour and style alongside square cabinets filled with matching accessories.

“It just makes me happy, and if you can’t be happy in your own home, how the hell [are] you gonna be happy anywhere else?” RuPaul said of the property.
