In one of her popular posts, Tonia Brown posed in a light blue bikini and sunglasses while holding up a drink.

The blonde 51-year-old shook her hips and danced in the sunshine, appearing confident in her skin.

The song Love Myself is played in the background of the brief clip.

“It’s hot mom and hot Grandma summer,” she wrote over the video. “Queens put that bikini on and own that s***!”

In the caption of her post, Brown added a line of advice for anyone looking to embark on a journey towards self-love.

“Confidence, Self-love, and Own it!” she exclaimed before adding the hashtag #HoldmyMilk and #Over40.

Brown’s followers headed to the comments section to compliment her looks and attitude.

“Nothing sexier than a confident woman in a bikini,” one adoring fan wrote.

One of her fans even offered to help keep her protected from the sun.

“I’m willing to apply suntan lotion…” the admirer offered.

“Now this is what I want all beautiful natural woman,” a third person commented.

Some people acknowledged the way Brown refused to let her age define her.

“You have a fantastic day today young lady!!!” they wrote.

Brown is not the only cougar to use social media to inspire other aging women to push back against social conventions.

Another TikToker, KarenLee Poter (@karenleepoter), has said that just because you are past middle age, doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to change.

Rather than try to hide signs of aging, she highlights the beauty in it: “Wrinkles are beautiful,” she said in the caption of her video.

Strong women like Brown and Poter are showing others how to enjoy their next phase of life and look great while doing it.
