Because iPhones are such complex pieces of machinery, they expend a lot of energy.
This can result in quicker battery loss for your device – thankfully there are a few Apple settings that can target this.
The first is turning off push notifications for persistent apps.
By doing this, you can help your device retain more power.
To turn off push notifications for a certain app, go to Settings > Notifications.
From that list, select the app > locate Allow Notifications > toggle it off.
That’s just one of several settings you can adjust to help your iPhone stay powered longer.
TIPS TO SAVE BATTERY
One of the most important things you can do for your phone’s battery life – and your device in general – is to keep its software updated.
“Always make sure your device is using the latest version of iOS,” Apple said.
To do this, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
If an update is available, you can plug your device into a power source and update wirelessly.
You can also use Low Power Mode, which reduces the amount of power that your device uses.
To turn Low Power Mode on or off, go to Settings > Battery > toggle on Low Power Mode.
You can also turn Low Power Mode on and off from Control Center.
Just go to Settings > Control Center > Customize Controls, then select Low Power Mode to add it to Control Center.
Once you have done that, simply swipe down from the top of your screen and click the battery icon.
