It may be an all-Italian affair when it comes to the two competing clubs, but it will be a Spanish inquisition awaiting the players on the field – led by referee Jesus Gil Manzano.
The 39-year-old took charge of Manchester City’s 3-0 thumping of Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final last month.
And each of Manzano’s match officials this evening are best known to La Liga audiences with both linesmen, the fourth official and VAR operator also hailing from Spain.
