Occasional Digest - a story for you

THIS mind bending optical illusion has people stumped as they were challenged to find the face of woman on the butterfly wings.

You could have a top IQ that could be in the highest three per cent of brainboxes if you can see it in just 7 seconds.

At first glance, the image appears to be a brightly coloured butterfly resting upon a yellow flower.

But upon closer glance – something is off with the image.

And then you realise there is so much more to this photo than meets the eye.

While it appears to be a Peacock Butterfly perched on a pretty yellow flower, the photo is actually a naked model in full body paint.

The model, named only as Laura, was transformed into the butterfly by body artist Johannes Stötter.

Stötter spent hours painstakingly painting the woman’s curves to complete the masterpiece and create the stunning optical illusion.

Based in Northern Italy, Johannes, who is known as the ‘Master of the Unseen’ has spent years perfecting his technique.

He believed the piece – simply called “The Butterfly” – is his best work yet.

Pictures show Stötter painting the model in incredible detail as she reclines on the yellow flower.

With each brushstroke he transformed her into the butterfly – slowly covering up her body with stunning colours.

And then he took the photograph, leaving nothing visible beyond her face visible in the butterfly wings.

Have you spotted it yet?

The model’s face is visible at the bottom of the butterfly’s right wing.
