A PROUD redhead showed off her shiny, healthy natural hair on social media.

While everyone was stunned by the color, some critics refused to believe it wasn’t the result of a professional dye job.

Stunning influencer Nessa Rainey (@nessarainey) is beloved by fans, in large part because of her gorgeous red hair.

But having a unique hair color can be exhausting, especially when people make assumptions.

In a video, Rainey used a song from the musical movie Coco to label behavior that makes her “un poco loco” – that is, “a little bit crazy.”

First, she set the scene. “Me: A natural redhead who has never dyed my hair,” she wrote in the caption.

Then, she used the caption to represent an infuriating question she hears from strangers. “What hair dye do you use?” it read.

In the video’s description, Rainey made it clear that the presumptuous nature of the query was what bothered her.

“Is that your natural hair color’ is better because at least it isn’t just assuming I dyed it,” she wrote.

In the comment section, a few people were adamant that Rainey must enhance her hair in some way.

“You don’t use ANY color glosses?” one demanded. Rainey said no.

Another wrote, “On every picture or video it looks like a different shade of red, so I’m confused.”

“It happens,” said a woman responding in Rainey’s defense. “In photos and minimal lighting, my hair is brown. In the sunlight it’s bright auburn.”

The critic pointed to another aspect of Rainey’s style as “proof” she colors her hair.

“Also you wear colored contacts. Kinda strange,” they said. “You know it’s okay if you dye ur hair.”

Rainey’s fans dismissed the trolls, and other redheads related to the obnoxious line of questioning.

“Oh God, I relate to this,” one said. “And they don’t believe you when you say it’s not dyed so have to show your freckles.”

Another natural redhead said people assumed she was just being selfish by not revealing which dye she used.

“The number of times people thought I was just gatekeeping,” she wrote.

One woman, who had been a redhead for decades, issued a word of advice to Rainey and her coppery cohort.

“Appreciate it every day, I am telling you,” she said. “I used to have this hair color then as I got older and had children, it turned mouse brown.”
