More specifically, she had mocked up designs to transform the luxury Louis Vuitton bag her ex-boyfriend got her into a “revenge corset.”

After struggling to part with the high-end gift, she cooked up a plan to upcycle it instead to soften the blow.

The aspiring fashion designer explained she didn’t mind tearing apart the pricey bag because her fondness for it had faded when her relationship fizzled out.

Beau killed two birds with one stone and updated her wardrobe with a cute new corset top while giving the bag a chance at redemption.

She explained: “I made the decision to leave for a number of reasons. It was one of the best choices I ever made for myself.

“I decided to make the bag into a corset because I had gotten bored of it. It no longer felt special to me.

“I was really into corsets at the time and after laying out the pattern and seeing that I had enough fabric, I knew I had found the perfect use for my old bag.”

She filmed her mission to repurpose the material in a TikTok clip, that racked up a whopping 3.6million views.

Beau began by deconstructing the accessory, using a seam ripper to remove the lining and disassemble the pieces.

She then laid out the material and pattern, before cutting the pieces to size and assembling them.

The TikToker said it “felt great” to bag a bespoke corset that she had created herself from something that had no use to her anymore.

Beau continued: “I was very pleased with how the corset turned out, especially as it was my first time working with that type of material.

“It took a lot of figuring out as I went along and, although it honestly turned out better than I was expecting, I would definitely do a few things differently next time.”

She later revealed in the comment section that she had also had enough fabric to make a “tiny little bag with a thigh strap.”

The video of her handiwork quickly went viral, as social media users were left more than impressed with her coping mechanisms.

One wrote: “Something about destroying something your ex bought you helps the healing process.”

Another said: “It looks great, good job the bag wasn’t genuine tho.”

A third added: “You’re so creative. Love this!”

A fourth chimed in: “So crafty, I prefer the top from the bag anyway. Good job.”

Beau said she was stunned at the online reaction and has been bombarded with requests for custom pieces from people.

She added: “I couldn’t believe it. I was quite shocked to see my post had reached millions of people.

“I’ve had multiple people reach out wanting me to transform their old bags into unique custom pieces and I am working on producing more corsets out of bags.

“I would love to start making these corsets as a signature item for my shop.

“What started off as a fun healing project turned into a real opportunity for me and my business, and I’m really looking forward to exploring making garments out of bags.”
