Both the 62 year old former Countdown co-host and star Helen Flanagan, 32, will face death defying trials, where one person is suspended in the air as they have to jump large inflatable balls to get to the other side.
Other trials show that the ladies will also have to eat animal body parts and worryingly, Carol is shown in the trailer clip, hundreds of metres above ground level – and it looks as though she has to embark on a bungy jump.
This year’s show will be based in South Africa and Carol and Helen will be among many entering at different stages of the show.
Ant and Dec promised viewers and guests that this year’s reality competition will be “bigger and wilder than we could have hoped for”.
Other contestants include Jordan Banjo, Gillian McKeith, Phil Tuffnell, Made In Cheslea’s Georgia Toffolo, Myleene Klass and Joe Swash.
But back in January, The Sun reported that filming was brought into chaos when a gaggle of baboons interrupted as they sat watching the trials.
At that time, Ant, 47 said: “There were baboons everywhere. Like, we’d be in the middle of doing a trial and then you’d just hear the noise, literally just behind the cameraman.”
Dec, also 47, told ITV’s Lorraine: “They came along in the middle of the trial. They just came along and just sat there.”
