Maya Jama, 28, will be returning as host following her success on the winter version of the show.

This year’s intake of lovelorn wannabes will be flown out to Majorca next month and the winners will be staying in the luxurious villa for two whole months.

A source said: “Love Island will start on June 5, just as people are getting ready to enjoy their summers.

“ITV have already lined up the islanders who will be heading to the show’s villa in Majorca.

“The cast will fly out late next month ready for the show to begin in just eight weeks.

“It is hugely exciting and those working on the show cannot wait to get started.

“This series will be eight weeks long, meaning the couple who win the show will be in the villa for two months.

Maya is chomping at the bit to get to work on this series too. Having her on board has given Love Island a real boost and it’s expected that ratings will soar.”

A second source added: “The dates have not been officially confirmed.”

The cast will be returning to the rustic £2.57million villa used during the last summer series.

As well as a 20metre swimming pool, the islanders will be able to relax in the outdoor kitchen and on the sprawling grounds.

The previous villa – which was used from 2017 until 2021 – was also in Majorca, and can be found in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar on the East of the Island.

The luxury property boasted a super-sized hot tub, infinity pool, outdoor kitchen and terrace.

The show’s first villa – which was used from 2015 until 2016 – was sold in March last year for a whopping £3m.

Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan were crowned the winners of this year’s winter series.

Kai and Sanam, both 24, managed to beat competitive rivals Tom Clare & Samie Elishi and Lana Jenkins, 25, & Ron Hall, 26, and Shaq Muhammad, 24, & Tanya Manhenga, 22.

“Literally she blew me away straight away,” Kai told Maya on his first impressions of Sanam.

Sanam added: “For me, it was always Kai. I always said he was my number one.”
