Madrid were in action against Baena’s Villarreal at Santiago Bernabeu yesterday.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side slipped to a 3-2 defeat in the match, with Samuel Chukwueze grabbing a late winner.
During a Copa del Rey clash between the two sides in January, Baena was alleged to have made a comment about Mina’s pregnancy scare suffered earlier this year.
According to The Athletic, Valverde confronted Baena in the car park after yesterday’s match, before allegedly punching him.
Baena, 21, had already taken to social media to condemn Valverde and deny accusations made against him.
Mina, 29, has since addressed the alleged incident on Twitter.
In an emotional post, she wrote: “Do I have to explain why they told me that my pregnancy could not continue?
“We were silent for almost two months waiting for the result to know whether or not we could continue, having already five months of pregnancy.
“I have already gone through enough for them to come and question me about my son’s health.
“Despite everything, from the bottom of my heart, I don’t wish anyone to go through a similar situation.”
Reports in Spain claim that Villarreal possess footage of the alleged post-match bust up.
Thankfully Valverde and Mina’s child is believed to be healthy, with Mina updating fans on Instagram last month that she was “six months into it”.
The couple already have one son together named Benicio, born in February 2020.
Valverde, 24, will next be in action on Wednesday, when his side face Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-final.
