“One of the biggest mistakes I see is people overhead watering their garden like this.
“This can contribute to bacterial and fungal diseases, and instead you should water your plant at the base of it.
“Plant marigolds in your garden. These flowers help attract good pests and help deter bad ones.
“And three, speaking of pests, check for them frequently and, a lot of times, they like to hide under leaves.
“If you see any eggs or pests, one way of stopping them in their tracks is by simply picking them off.
“Follow these steps to save you time, money, and have a more successful garden this year.”
Fans loved her quick tips, with the video gaining more than 32,500 likes and 513,000 views.

“You couldn’t be more correct,” commented another.
A third put: ”Need more of these! I love this.”
“I was wondering why my vegetable garden book kept telling me to use a watering can instead of overhead watering. Now I know,” said someone else.
Others shared their own hacks, with another adding: “Something I wish I had learned sooner – give tomato plants a lot of room to grow & watering deeply less often is better than a little every day.”
“Brilliant ideas. Just another lil tip. Always remove lower leaves of tomatoes 4 increased airflow & prevent fungal & soil-born diseases,” suggested another.
