WRESTLEMANIA 39 got off to an amazing start with incredible action on night one at the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood.

The show kicked off with John Cena returning to action to challenge US Champion Austin Theory.

Cena thought he won the title after making Theory tap out to the STF but the referee was incapacitated due to an earlier collision and that allowed the champion to deliver A-Town Down for the victory.

Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins then won a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match against Erik and Ivar of The Viking Raiders, Braun Strowman and Ricochet as well as Chad Gable and Otis of Alpha Academy.

Dawkins pinned Ricohet after stopping a stunning Shooting Star Press with his knees before Ford delivered a thunderous Frogsplash.

Logan Paul and Seth Rollins followed up in a brilliant encounter that saw KSI making a surprise appearance and trying to help his PRIME associate.

However, Paul inadvertently took out the British YouTube star with a Frogsplash at ringside before Rollins knocked The Maverick out with a thunderous Stomp.

Trish Stratus then teamed up with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Lita and Becky Lynch to face Iyo Sky, Dakota Kai and Bayley of Damage CTRL.

The Hall of Famers and Lynch stood tall after The Man took out the heel stable’s leader with a Man Handle Slam from the top rope.

WrestleMania kept the action going with Rey Mysterio taking on his own son Dominik Mysterio one night after joining the WWE Hall of Fame.

Rey won the emotional match with a 619 after his LWO comrades Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde fought off Damian Priest and Finn Balor who tried to help their Judgment Day partner.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley seemed like they would headline the first night but they still had a match worthy of the main event.

After immense back-and-fourth action Ripley picked up the win with a devastating Rip Tide to win the title.

The crowd was ready for the main event but Pat McAfee made a surprise return and challenged WrestleMania host The Miz to an impromptu match.

WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg, who was co-hosting, set up the bout that saw McAfee winning with the help of fellow NFL star George Kittle.

The main event saw Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens winning the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships from The Usos in an encounter that stole the show.

All contenders left it all in the ring as they kicked out of finishers, including Zayn who became the first one to get his elbow up after the 1D.

But it was ultimately the challengers who prevailed when Zayn hit three Helluva Kicks to Jey Uso after Owens took out Jimmy Uso with a Stunner to end The Bloodline members’ historic reign.
