POLICE have arrested a 32-year-old man and launched a murder investigation after a suspected shooting this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to the scene around Welland Street, Openshaw, in East Manchester at around 2pm.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene with cops believing he died from gunshot wounds in what they think was a “targeted attack”.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
Additional officers have been deployed to the area this evening as the investigation continues.
