Samantha took to TikTok to share the clip of her husband looking stunned by the news that the pair are expecting a baby girl.

But while she put it down to ‘complete shock’, others are claiming his reaction suggests he’s less than pleased with the sex of their baby.

Samantha even agreed that his reaction had prompted her to consider using a doula, in case her husband faints in the delivery suite.

In a new reel, Samantha and her husband can be seen pressing a button to release either blue or pink confetti, revealing the gender.

When the pink confetti bursts out, her husband’s mouth drops open, before he closes his eyes and pauses for a few seconds. 

He then puts his hands over his mouth, before lowering them to reveal the fact his mouth is still wide open. 

At the end of the 17-second clip, her husband is seen holding his hand over his heart. 

His reaction attracted plenty of attention online, gaining more than 1.6 million likes and 20.2 million views. 

Samantha captioned it: “Complete shock.”

However, not all were convinced his reaction was down to shock, with some reading it as a sign he’s disappointed not to be having a boy. 

One wrote: “The pure fear on his face.”

Another said: “He’s like ‘I love my wife but I can’t handle another one of her!'” 

“I feel like his mind fast forwarded to her going on her first date immediately lol,” a third wrote. 

Someone else joked: “His credit card bill flashed before his eyes.”

Samantha replied: “This is why I’m getting a doula ’cause I don’t trust him in the delivery room, he will def pass out.”

In another video, Samantha gave her husband the opportunity to set the record straight. 

He explained that he appeared visibly stunned due to the fact he had convinced himself the pair were going to be welcoming a little boy later this year. 

He said: “I saw some comments that people thought I was disappointed but that’s not the case because I was just really sure it was a boy. 

“Somehow, my mind was set up on a boy so when I pushed that button and pink came out, my mind was in complete shock and I kind of had to process it. 

“But now, after a week, I’m actually almost, I’m going, to be honest, more excited for a girl because [she’s] going to be a daddy’s girl, for sure.

“Everyone said, ‘oh I’m going to have such a big problem with it’.

“Actually, I think Samantha’s going to have the big problem because she’s going to be prioritised second now. 

“I’m actually really blessed and happy that it’s a girl.”
