Fans of the ITV skating competition headed to social media to hit out about the way the voting had been organised tonight.
Dancing On Ice was opened by hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield with the announcement that the vote was open.
It meant that before the celebrities had taken to the ice, fans at home could already begin voting online and by message.
Viewers were left furious by the decision – and hit out on Twitter that it rendered the entire skating part of the show “pointless”.
One fan said: “I think voting lines should only open once all three have skated?!” while a second chimed in: “How can they open the voting when nobody has skated?”
“You’re now voting for the skating not the person,” a third added, while a fourth agreed: “Bit early to open the vote lines.”
“Is Dancing on Ice a skating competition or popularity. Why is the voting open when nobody has skated yet?” a fifth hit out.
It comes after fans of the ITV show were left distracted at the start of the show – thanks to Oti Mabuse’s eye-popping gown.
The stunning 32-year-old dancer wowed in a plunging, sparkly pink gown as she joined her fellow judges – and viewers gave her a very cheeky nickname.
Oti’s shimmering corset-style top leads into a seer purple skirt, and the star opted for a very glam makeup look and her hair in a bun.
She told fans the incredible look is made using over 20,000 Swarovski multifaceted crystals.
Taking to social media, some Dancing On Ice fans coined Oti as ‘Jessica Rabbit.’
One person said: “Oti really looks like she’s about to pop out of that dress,” while a second agreed: “I think Oti is trying to steal Holly Willabooby’s nickname? Oti’s boobies omg.”
