Actor Tom Sizemore, best known for his role in the war drama "Saving Private Ryan," died [insert day] following a brain aneurysm Saturday.

Tom Sizemore, star of the late-’90s war drama “Saving Private Ryan,” has died following a brain aneurysm. He was 61.

Sizemore died Friday, the actor’s manager Charles Lago confirmed to Variety, TMZ and People

“It is with great sadness and sorrow I have to announce that actor Thomas Edward Sizemore (‘Tom Sizemore’) aged 61 passed away peacefully in his sleep today at St Joseph’s Hospital Burbank,” Lago said in a statement to Variety and TMZ. 

USA TODAY has reached out to Sizemore’s representative for confirmation. 

Sizemore collapsed at his Los Angeles home Feb. 19 following a brain aneurysm brought on by a stroke, and he was subsequently admitted to a hospital, Lago confirmed to USA TODAY at the time.
